NUMA Statement of Faith
The Northern Utah Ministerial Association (NUMA) affirms & believes:
in one God, who has always eternally existed in three persons, in Trinity.
in God the Father, who created all things in heaven and on earth.
in Jesus Christ, our Lord, fully God and fully human, the only-begotten son of the Father, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried, rose again on the third day, ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
in the Holy Spirit, sent from the Father and the Son to convict of us of sin, lead us into a life of repentance, and comfort, equip, and guide those who believe in Jesus Christ.
that humanity is sinful and in need of a Savior. (Romans 3:23)
that our salvation is by grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ. (Romans 10:9-13)
that the Bible (Old and New Testaments) is inspired by God, sufficient for salvation, and fully worthy of our trust. (2 Tim 3:16)
Our response to this salvation is to:
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength." (Mark 12:30); "Love your neighbor as yourself." (Mark 12:31)
"Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." (Matthew 28:19-20)
Repent of sin (Mark 1:15)
Do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do (Ephesians 2:10)
